Samarth Sangini Yojana In Bhopal

The Madhya Pradesh government has released a new scheme to help women in Bhopal. The Samartha Sangini Yojana is designed to help women who have been victims of crime in Bhopal. This is being passed with the overall goal of preventing crimes against women around the city.

Samarth Sangini Yojana In Bhopal

The Director General of Police has informed all police superintendents about the scheme and how it will work. A new network is being formed to check on crimes against women.

This is especially for women in many rural parts of Bhopal that aren’t able to get the support that they normally need. Many women around Bhopal in rural areas are likely to be subjected to many harmful crimes. These include crimes like rape, domestic violence and molestation. By offering this scheme, the local government is aiming to give women help as they require it.

This scheme will be organized carefully and will be promoted to women in the coming weeks. This will help women to learn more about the scheme and how it may be used for the general needs they have for reporting crimes. It is important for the safety of all women in the state.

A New Network

The network being established will work with many standards to ensure that women are protected:

  • Anganwadi workers and helpers are being contacted to help with monitoring different parts of Bhopal. This is to help with identifying crimes and to work on the reporting processes for such acts.
  • Women are also being contacted by police officers to help them with reporting crimes. This especially comes amid the stigma that many women hold with regards to reporting crimes.
  • Counseling agencies are also in touch with each other through the network. Such agencies are working to inform people about all kinds of concerns they might hold and to help women who are suffering from serious emotional stresses as a result of an attack or other criminal act.
  • Police superintendents will be granted added responsibilities and access to more functions to help women around the area. They can be made as nodal officers to help with reviewing cases where women have been harmed in many forms.
  • The police station in the capital of Madhya Pradesh will also be open for women. This will be available with counselors on site and others to help with reviewing particular cases.
  • NGOs may also help with reviewing cases. Proper assistance will be given to women who have been harmed as a result of various violent actions. The assistance will vary in terms of what may be provided and supported.

The network is extensive and carefully organized to be more valuable to all women who need help. By providing this network, women will be encouraged to report on cases where they have been harmed in many forms.

A Need To Control Crime

There have been concerns over how crimes against women have become commonplace around Bhopal.  Rape and sexual assault as well as sexual harassment have become especially concerning in the area. This has particularly been the case in some of the more high-end parts of Bhopal including the Habibganj circle. The slums of Bhopal have especially been targeted by many criminals. By establishing this new scheme, there is a goal in place to try and control how crimes take place and to prevent them from occurring.

The strength of the police force is also being encouraged to increase in many areas. This is to help with creating a more efficient watch over different areas of Bhopal. With this in mind, the risks of many crimes in the area should be reduced if plans are followed properly.

This is also important for rural parts of the area. Many police officers ignore some of the more rural spaces in the region as they often feel that there are no risks of violence in those areas. By targeting such regions, it will be easier for crimes to be identified and for people to receive the justice that they are looking for. It is also a necessity for the government to promote the scheme in these areas to help people learn more about what they can do to prevent crimes or to report on them if needed.

Success in Betul

Bhopal is not the first part of India that will be working with such a scheme. A similar scheme has been in place for a while in Betul and has been rather successful. The scheme has helped with controlling crimes against women and has been a significant deterrent.

It was launched in Betul four months ago. The number of crimes against women in the area declined substantially as a result. As a result, the scheme has been expanded to other parts of the state to help and protect women from all kinds of risks.

The Samarth Sangini Yogjana will help women around Bhopal who have been harmed by crimes. This is also to help with controlling many crimes and to keep people from being likely to commit such crimes.

Pankh Yojana Jharkhand

The state government of Jharkhand has launched a new scheme for children in the poorest slums. The Pankh Yojana was launched by the education minister. The main goal of Pankh Yojana is to help children in Jharkhand get access to schools. Many children in poverty are unable to afford to go to school. The scheme will help children from the ages of six to fourteen to get into schools around the state.

Pankh Yojana Jharkhand

Much of this is inspired by a desire to get children to learn to read. Illiteracy has become an issue in many slums as it is keeping children in the state from being able to learn. By helping people with getting to school, they can learn to read and also attain the skills that they need in order to be more productive members of society in the future.

The scheme has especially been designed to target those who are unable to read. This is amid recent census reports stating that a large number of people in the state are illiterate. This is especially the case for girls in the state as they are more likely to be illiterate than others.

Government Aid Is Offered

The state government will provide financial aid to families of children who are not attending schools. The money will be sued to help their children get into various schools. The expenses associated with enrolling a child into a school and getting the supplies needed for studies will be covered.

The total amount of money being reserved for the scheme by the government is unknown at this moment. The government is aiming to spend several crore to help with getting children into schools regardless of this. It especially comes amid the ongoing need to try and get more children into schools so they can learn to read and take in the basic skills they need for successful lives.

Schools will also be supported as they will receive some help from the government to cover the added students in these schools. Additional seats will be reserved for students who qualify under the scheme. The total number of seats being reserved is unclear although plenty of support is expected as a means of improving upon how well the scheme may be used.

Helping To Control Illiteracy

The Pankh Yojana scheme is primarily designed to keep illiteracy from being a threat in the future. It is believed that by helping to control illiteracy, it will be easier for poverty to be kept under control in the future.

The statistics relating to illiteracy in Jharkhand are especially alarming:

  • The literacy rate in the state is around 66 percent according to the 2011 census. This means that nearly a third of people in the state are illiterate.
  • The literacy rate for women is significantly lower than it is for men. While about 24 percent of men in the state are illiterate, around 45 percent of women are illiterate.
  • Literacy rates have improved for women over the years. In 2001, about 38 percent of women in Jharkhand were illiterate. That number increased to 55 percent in 2011.

While there has been some improvement in illiteracy rates in recent time it is still critical to note that a large number of people in the state are still illiterate. In addition, there is clearly a need to help women with finding ways to get to school so they can learn to read.

Social Media Is Helping

The Jharkhand government is using social media to help find children in poor areas. Any person in the state can send information and photos of children not attending schools to the government. The government has set up a series of Whatsapp numbers where people can send this information out to. After this, the government can review the information on the child and find a solution for getting the child into a school in one’s region.

People can send information on their mobile devices to 8210904971 or 8210899386. These are the two numbers that link to the government’s program. These two numbers have been reserved to take in information on children and to help with finding details on who needs to be sent out to schools as soon as possible.

The government will take all information and review it with official records on which children are in schools. The goal is to fill in all the gaps associated with children who are not in school even if they are eligible to go. There are no limits as to how many people can be sent out to school as the government is aiming to provide as many people with access to schools as possible. This is to improve upon how well people can get the support they demand.

By offering the Pankh Yojana scheme, the state of Jharkhand is aiming to improve upon how people are capable of learning to read. The ability to get more people in the state to school and to help them learn to read is especially important when the illiteracy rates within the state are considered.

Muktidhara Scheme in West Bengal

Unemployment has been a significant problem in many parts of India. This is especially the case in West Bengal. The rural parts of the state have been hit hard by unemployment over the years. This has led the state government to pass a new scheme to assist rural residents to improve how they can get access to jobs. The Muktidhara scheme has been passed as a means of supporting people who are aiming to get out of poverty.

Muktidhara Scheme in West Bengal

This scheme has been in operation since 2013. It was launched as a scheme where people in rural areas will receive training for a variety of jobs. Much of this is especially designed with support for farming jobs and other jobs that are more common in some of the rural parts of the state.

The scheme has been used in the village of Purulia in the past. This was to test how the scheme could work. The scheme will expand to more villages and other rural regions of West Bengal. More than thirty new offices are being opened to support the scheme.

Who This Supports

The Muktidhara scheme supports micro small and medium enterprises or MSMEs in West Bengal. These include organizations that are not attached to larger groups and are for the most part operated by individual people.

The scheme especially concentrates on the improvement of peoples’ skills. This includes support for people who are looking to learn new skills or use the skills that they already have in some manner.

The overall goal is to help people earn enough money to make a decent living. This includes helping people to earn at least Rs. 3,000 per month to cover expenses associated with starting the program and for having a consistent quality of life without risking getting back into poverty.

It is also designed for all types of demographics. Women and unemployed youth are especially encouraged to take a closer look at the scheme to see how they can benefit.

Key Forms of Support

The supports that will be provided to people within the scheme include many benefits:

  • Bank loans will be available to people who qualify. These include loans at low interest levels. These help with funding the processes for starting businesses.
  • Training and assistance with getting different tasks completed will be offered. This includes field training for many jobs, particularly for agriculture-related tasks.
  • Many people will be provided with some of the materials needed to make certain jobs work. These include materials like newer machines designed with farming needs in mind.

Additional support may be provided to people in the future as the scheme becomes more commonplace. People are encouraged to take advantage of the services offered by the scheme as a means of improving their chances of getting more money.

What Types of Jobs?

Many of the jobs in the Muktidhara scheme were designed to help with improving upon the economy of the state. These include jobs that placed an emphasis on the agriculture sector.

  • The jobs being supported in the scheme include jobs in vegetable cultivation. This includes support for setting up farms and improving how they are tended.
  • People may also be trained in positions relating to goatery and raising poultry. These jobs focus on handling livestock that may be used for meats in the future.
  • Other jobs include ones for younger members of the population. This includes education to help unemployed youth with finding self-employment roles. Part of this involves finding skills for youth to follow and take advantage of.

The jobs that are being created by the Muktidhara scheme are helping those in poverty to find ways to make money. These jobs especially focus on creating sustainable types of jobs where people can make money growing items on a regular basis. Best of all, the jobs are designed to where they will continue to occur for as long as possible without any interruptions in what people can do.

It Has Been Successful

The scheme has become rather successful during many of its initial parts. People have been able to get loans at low costs to start their own agriculture businesses where they can earn a sizeable amount of money. One instance that was reported entails a woman getting a loan of Rs. 7,000 to start a goat rearing business. Today she has been able to get a regular profit of Rs. 3,500 each month. This is enough to not only pay back her loan but to also improve upon how well she can handle her farm.

While much of this has taken place in Purulia, it has expanded to some other parts of West Bengal. By taking the scheme to more parts of the state, the potential for a larger number of people to benefit from it has expanded. This is allowing the scheme to become a more prominent and intriguing program.

The Muktidhara scheme will help with improving upon how well people in the state of West Bengal can find jobs. The support will help those in rural areas with finding jobs that are evergreen and will last for years to come. This especially entails support for agriculture-related jobs.

Pongal Bonus Available For Tamilnadu Government Employees, Teachers and Pensioners

The Chief Minister of Tamilnadu has announced a new bonus to select residents in the state. The Pongal Bonus will be available to government employees, teacher and pensioners living in Tamilnadu. This bonus comes as the Pongal festival comes around. The bonus will be worth a substantial deal of money based on what someone might have earned when working on the holiday. This includes the potential for thousands of rupees depending on what one qualifies to get.

Pongal Bonus Available For Tamilnadu Government Employees

The total cost of the bonus to the state government will be Rs. 325 crore. This has been approved of by the government and will be set aside to pay those who qualify for the Pongal Bonus.

This comes as the Pongal holiday has become a compulsory holiday. Also, there are concerns over how the bonus involved is not as great as what many people had been hoping to get. This includes the bonus not being worth as much as what people had earned in the past.

What Payments Are Involved?

The Pongal Bonus will entail specific payments based on the group a person is in. These totals are rather varied in value and will be based heavily on the particular types of professions one is in:

  • Group A and B employees will get a Rs. 1,000 bonus. This is for government employees other than teachers.
  • Other people in Group A and B will get Rs. 500. This is a festival gift that will be for pensioners and their direct family members and also for retired administrative officers.
  • Group C and D staff members, including both government employees who are eligible, will get a bonus equal to thirty days of one’s regular salary. This will be good for up to Rs. 3,000.
  • A bonus of Rs. 1,000 will be given to part and full time employees who have worked for at least 240 days in the past fiscal year and get paid monthly. Others who qualify for this Rs. 1,000 bonus include village assistants, rural development staff members and contract labourers among others. Temporary employees may also qualify for this if they have worked long enough on their contracts.
  • Teachers at government-supported schools will get Rs. 1,000 as well. This is for those who are paid each month through the University Grants Commission among other key educational organizations within the state.

Those who might be eligible will have to contact the central government for details on the specific bonuses that they can get. This includes learning what particular classes they are in.

Not As High As Hoped

An important point about these bonuses is that while they are sizeable, they are not as large in value as what many people who were eligible had hoped to get. There were protests by government employees in the state over the values over these bonuses.

The employees that are protesting this state that the central government is not giving out enough money. The protests come from how the employees wanted significantly larger bonuses. These include bonuses of Rs. 1,500, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 7,500 with the totals varying based on who was eligible to take advantage of those bonuses. This comes as the central government had a fixed ceiling of Rs. 7,000 for its employees in 2015 for the Pongal Bonus. The decision to go after a lower total is a significant concern for many workers.

The government is not expected to change the payouts. It is uncertain as to whether they might make some changes in the future. This is also in spite of how the government had paid much more to employees well in the past.

A Major Development For the Festival

This move comes as the Pongal festival holiday has become a compulsory holiday in Tamilnadu. The holiday will be celebrated on 14th January. It has especially become very popular among people in the state and has been the subject of considerations over possibly being a holiday that more may take off.

As a result of this, all people will be required to take the day off. This had originally been a restricted holiday as employees could choose to take the day off to celebrate Pongal if they want to.

The new rule in Tamilnadu has it to where all people in eligible fields will take that day off. By offering the Pongal Bonus, people who can qualify for it will receive a proper payment for one’s work that would have normally taken place on that particular day.

The 2017 edition of Tamilnadu will take place on a Saturday. Therefore, there is a potential that people who choose to take that day off could avail to take a Friday or Monday off in lieu of this. This comes as many businesses and professions that are eligible for the Pongal Bonus will already have Saturday off.

All those who work in the government or education sectors as well as retirees will have to look into the Pongal Bonus offers that they will get. This is an important point for the season.

Banks and Post Offices to Seize Accounts if PAN or Form 60 is Not Updated until 28th Feb 2017

Union Government seems to be in no mood to loosen its shackles on black money and corruption. Demonetization, followed by increased raids from Income Tax – government seems to be hell-bent on flushing out corruption and unaccounted money out of formal economy and bring the parallel economy to a halt.

Banks and Post Offices to Seize Accounts if PAN is Not Updated until 28th Feb 2017

In yet another surprise move, it has now been made mandatory to update PAN or Permanent Account Number in accounts held in post offices and banks. This circular has been released by CBDT or Central Board of Direct Taxes.

Every individual who has a bank account and is 18 years old will have to update PAN or form 60 and this has to be done within 28th February, 2017. Failure to comply will mean that the banks and post offices will immediately block and seize the accounts. Once seized, the accounts held with banks and post offices cannot be used. All transactions will be frozen and necessary action might be taken.

While this surprising announcement came as shock, it is not going to hamper the daily life. Only thing that people need to do is to update the PAN. In case their banks have the provision of updating PAN online, it will be easy for them. However, if online provisions are not present or those who are not very comfortable with online provisions, they might have to take a day off to update PAN. That will be a minor disruption.

What if a person doesn’t have a PAN?

Yes, this is a possibility. This has been taken care of by the government and Central Board of Direct Taxes. Those who do not have PAN need to apply for the same immediately and the application slip can be submitted to prevent any action. Once the PAN is issued, people need to update the PAN. In the mean while he has to submit form 60 in his bank and post office account.

Why has PAN update been made mandatory?

Officials of Income Tax Department have said that still now, a large number of people do not have PAN updated against the savings accounts in banks and post offices. The primary reason behind making PAN submission mandatory is that Income Tax Department wants to monitor all bank account using online medium.

Once Income Tax Department starts monitoring all bank accounts, it will become almost impossible for people to move unaccounted money through banking channels. However, stashing cash at home might not be prevented.

In any case, PAN update will make the banking industry transparent enough. This will thwart corrupt people and black money holders from converting black money into white through bank deposits. Online monitoring through PAN will mean that any cash flow through a bank account will be visible to Income Tax Department. If the department officials find any suspicious activity in an account, they can catch hold of the account holder.

So, what do you think? Will PAN update help the government to tighten its grip on corruption? Will the government manage to create a corruption-free India? We just have to wait and watch. May be, government will come up with something new.

Kisan Credit Cards to be Converted to RuPay Cards

On New Year’s Eve, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation. As the whole nation was busy in new celebrations, people were also waiting impatiently to know what else Modi has to offer. In an interesting twist of wits, instead of giving any other mind boggling blow, PM Modi opened in bag of goodies and came up with several schemes that were geared towards agrarian and business sectors and even the end users of the consumers. The announcement was broadcast across the nation, even at bars and nightclubs. Of the several announcements made, PM Modi announced some special schemes for farmers, who are considered the backbone of the nation.

Kisan Credit Cards to be Converted to RuPay Cards

A statement about agriculture in India

During his speech, PM Modi stated that many people in India actually created an atmosphere where people were made to think that the agriculture in the economy has been totally destroyed while more attention has been provided to the business segments of the nation. Modi said that the farmers of the nation have given a befitting reply to those people in at least two ways:

  • Increase in production of Rabi crops by 6%
  • Increase in fertilizer usage by 9%

Thanking the farmers of India, PM Modi stated that the government will do everything in its power to ensure that the farmers never face seed and fertilizer shortage and that they receive agrarian loans whenever needed.

Talking on Kisan Credit Cards

PM Modi made a vital announcement and declared the replacement of over 3 crore Kisan Credit Cards with RuPay Debit Cards. He mentioned that this will happen over a period of 180 days or 3 months. So, why this sudden change? The objective is to push for cashless ecosystem. While Urban India is already in the process of embracing cashless economy, it is important to push the rural sector for the same and RuPay Debit Cards is a step towards the same.

Kisan Credit Card is plagued by one crucial shortcoming – it is cash-based. Simply put, Kisan Credit Card offers cash credits. There are two ways the farmers can get hold of cash using these cards:

  • Withdrawing money from ATMs.
  • Using withdrawal slips at bank branches.

In case you didn’t know, the Kisan Credit Card is designed for providing agricultural loans to farmers for a short period of time. With replacement of such credit cards with RuPay debit cards, farmers will no longer have to deal with cash and they can carry out cashless transactions anywhere they want.

RuPay doesn’t have credit cards for now. The company only works in debit cards and has no plans of entering the credit card space which has two major players – MasterCard and Visa.

NPCI’s or National Payments Corporation of India’s CEO, AP Hota, however did mention that RuPay will enter into Credit Card space but the plans have been deferred for the time being because NPCI is currently in the middle of implementing a new switching platform. The reason for introducing the new platform is that it will allow National Payments Corporation of India to efficiently handle the increased number of card transactions. It was expected that NPCI (the organization that offers RuPay Cards) would launch credit cards in June of 2017.

The introduction of RuPay debit cards for farmers as an alternative to Kisan Credit Cards will allow the farmers to make a move into cashless ecosystem, which is gradually growing in India. The cashless ecosystem has increased manifolds post demonetization and is expected to register greater growth over coming months.

One Big Concern

Though this has not been mentioned by PM Narendra Modi, it is a known fact that usage of debit cards is yet to go a long way because POS machines do not have widespread reach like the cards. This means that with lack of POS or Point of Sale machines will be a serious hindrance for replacement of Kisan Credit Cards and distribution of RuPay Cards.

POS machines are mostly concentrated in urban areas where only 6 major commercial banks dominate the market of POS machines. So, RuPay cards to be distributed to farmers will need a support in form of increased numbers of POS machines in rural markets.

A Bit About Kisan Credit Cards

Kisan Credit Cards have a credit limit of 3 lakhs. The interest charged is 9%. In case the farmers have a very good repayment record for a period of 3 consecutive years, the government subsidized the interest rate by 2%. Institutions offering Kisan Credit Cards can also increase the credit limit depending on two factors:

  • Repayment history of the farmer.
  • The crop to be grown. There are various types of crops. Some crops need more fertilizer and seeds are more expensive. They also need more water supply and hence, improved irrigation facilities. Dealing with those crops will mean more money requirements. So, depending on the crops, banks that provide Kisan Credit Cards can actually increase the credit limit for the cards.

Kisan Credit Cards entered the agrarian space back in 1998. Several banks – including commercial banks, cooperative banks and regional rural banks – offer these credit cards.

The suggestion for reviewing Kisan Credit Cards came from a special committee formed by the government. The committee was chaired by TM Bhasin. Mr. Bhasin asked for a way for conversion for Kisan Credit Cards in Debit Cards and Smart Cards. The full information on this committee report and the requested changes can be found on NABARD’s website.

A Bit About RuPay Debit Cards

Looking at debit card market in India, RuPay alone takes 32% market share with over 282 million RuPay cards injected into the economy. It has become a major player in debit card market in just 3.5 years, which is a big achievement on its own. Currently, only 3 types of RuPay debit cards are present in market, which are:

  • PMJDY Card
  • Classic Card
  • Platinum Card

RuPay is currently working on going global by shaking hands with Discover – a credit card and debit card company of USA. Discover will help RuPay go global while NPCI will promote Discover cards in Indian market.

With RuPay’s partnership or tie up with Discover, RuPay will register a strong growth and worldwide acceptance. From the point of view of farmers, having cards with such widespread access will mean easy transition from cash-based economy to cashless ecosystem. This will also ensure that corruption is taken out of the equation. With no cash transactions, farmers can utilize every penny in more clear and efficient fashion.

Of course, there has been no word on how credit facility will work because RuPay cards are debit cards and not credit cards! Government and NPCI is yet to clarify the same. We have to wait until such clarifications are provided.

Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana in Chandigarh

The government of Haryana and Punjab launched this new scheme under which food was being provided to the poor sections of the society. The foods that were being provided are at a lesser cost than in the market. Recently this new scheme has been launched for Chandigarh and t has already gained a lot of popularity.

Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana in Chandigarh

Launch of the scheme

On Tuesday when the scheme was launched the food packets were to be given from 6pm to 9pm but it didn’t take that long for the food packets to be finished. Apparently within an hour of the launch, the food packets disappeared. They were being given at five key strategic locations in Chandigarh and they were being given at only 10 rupees.

Getting 6 chapattis and vegetable at this price was a big deal for the poor sections. Hence one can see that the chapattis along with the vegetables had vanished pretty quickly. Perhaps this is why the food could be given to only 500 people instead of 600 mentioned earlier.

The food packets were strictly for the poor people and they contained pickles and vegetables along with chapattis. This was supposed to not just give people nutrition but also indulge their taste buds.

What this means for the scheme?

The rising demand for the food packets made it a point that people truly needed this scheme in place – that feeding people is the need of the hour. Apparently this is the reason why this scheme has been given special attention to.

The government officials too took note of this demand and therefore keeping this in mind they have increased the production of chapattis to 4000 at one go. In fact, machines are being put in place so that 4000 chapattis are being manufactured at one go. This is twice the capacity that they presently have.

The food packets will be distributed between 6pm to 9pm at Sector 26, vegetable mandi at the transport area, Labour Chowks around the capital and many more areas where there are mainly construction workers present. They will be given the food at subsidized rates.

Security and overseeing of the scheme

The government officials have announced that to avoid people coming to take the packets twice, they will now be using tiffins. These tiffins are the same ones that are being used at the railways.

On the first day the food was being given in tin foils but that is not being done anymore. Also the officials announced that they are keeping a strict vigilance. In fact, videography is being done in all places to keep a track of the smooth and even distribution of food packets.

What are the objectives that this scheme aims to achieve?

By this scheme, the state government aims to achieve these following jobs –

  • The poor sections of the society and mainly the labour class are aimed to provide the nutrition that they need. They are often undernourished however they are the ones that have to indulge in maximum physical labour. This is why this scheme was directed towards them to give them the strength that their profession demands.
  • Not just food at cheaper prices but healthy food at cheaper prices was the aim of the government. As of now the situation is such that the workers are unable to afford good and sustainable food for themselves. This is why this scheme was provided to them.
  • The scheme aims to provide 1000 packets a day as of now, but if the scheme really proves to be helpful and more and more people are benefitted from it, then as many as 10,000 packets will be provided to the people daily.
  • 3 lakh per month is supposed to be invested into this scheme every month and in this amount food for nearly 3000 people will be created and distributed state wide.
  • The food menu is so created that the food contains all the vital minerals and nutrients that are required for a balanced and healthy meal. This is why experts and officials have been appointed to get this benefit.

What about the food quality?

Now there’s just one question in everyone’s mind – is the food of good quality? If it is not, then the entire scheme would fail because instead of enhancing the health factor, it will simply deteriorate it. Hence, the food aspect should be given attention to.

As per the inspectors, the food are all in good condition and they are cooked and served hot so that they retain healthy aspects and stay clear of any processing further. The effect can be seen in people who are getting better in health. The children and women no longer die of hunger or bad food habits. They are able to get proper and healthy nourishment, thanks to this scheme.

Implementation of the scheme

The panchayati raj system has already given its consent for the legal shibirs or the legal cells to operate. Therefore the gram rojgar sevaks and the panchayat executive heads have been handed over the task to identify those who are in need of legal assistance. Hence we can assume that the work has already begun.

Criticisms on this new scheme

The BJP and other parties are of the view that this new scheme has been doled out to mould the sentiments of the weaker sections towards the party. Hence, they have highly condemned this scheme.
