Pradhan Mantri Nai Manzil Scheme Yojana

The students of Madrasas are taught in a religious way and it is happening from ages.  The education is high-quality in conditions of religious teaching, though, it often misses on the modern-day education system and does not assist students get a job or earn a living out of it. The scheme only concentrates on minority communities aged between 17 and 35 years and also madrasa students.

This is why the Nai Manzil Scheme has been commenced by the central government to allow students of Madrasas to manage with the modern-day education system and offer them skill training so that they will be self sufficient  when  they move out of the madrasas

As a result, contemporary subjects like English as well as science are still taught in the madrasas, though, not all of them get these amenities and a support from the central or any other government.  This project from the government would serve to assist these students so that they can able to adjust with the modern education.

Under this innovative scheme Nai Manzil, the government would not only be offering modern education but side by side they also empowering these students with the latest skill training that would assist them to compete with the competitive environment of job hunting.  As a feedback, all the religious leaders as well as scholars from all over India are welcoming this scheme.

As per the government’s figures, a sum total of more than 3 lakhs big as well as small madrasas are operating in all over India and this scheme would benefit all of them.  It is observed that there is an approx of about hundred students in all these madrasas and thus a total number of more than three core students will be facilitated. As of now, the government plans to start the scheme in order to give power to at least 5 thousand students in the first phases and after that expand this scheme will be further increased to other students as well as madrasas.  Renowned Maulana Azad Education Foundation would be leader in offering all the essential help in start and Ministry of Minorities will support the scheme.

Features of Nai Manzil Yojana

According to the sources, this project will be funded  by the central government amounting Rs 3,738 crores and will be applied all over India.

This would act as salvage to thousands of Muslim students who somehow get their education from Madrasas, though fail to get an admission or a job in the universities as well as higher secondary schools just because they do not have any authentic  certification.

For those students who would not be interested to take on the academic training, the scheme would offer a choice for skill training so that they are capable enough to work as skilled labor or get a job straightly.  These skill based training may vary from driving to security guards, to carpentry to tailoring to nursing assistants, etc.

In general, this scheme would be a welcoming move by the religious leaders and such type of schemes would only improve the efficiency of youths studying in these madrasas.  This would guarantee that they are not left behind in this competitive world just because of lack of any formal training or education

Role of World Bank in Nai Manzil Scheme

To boost the education system in Madrasas through Nai Manzil sceme, the World Bank has agreed to give $50 million to the government of India.

Nai Manzil Yojana is a nice move taken by the Government of India as well as World Bank which will bring new sunshine to the minority student’s life.
