Key features of the scheme

  1. Betterment of students – The state government is hopeful that proper operation of this project will encourage the young students to pursue technical coaching for their betterment.
  2. Technical skill development – Another objective of the Uttar Pradesh government is to provide the interested and eligible students adequate opportunities for skill improvement.
  3. Occupational benefits – It becomes easy for a technically skilled person to bag better job opportunities. Thus, the implementation of this program will ensure better jobs.
  4. Placement opportunities – After the trainee completes the program, the state government will take the necessary steps for providing adequate placement.
  5. Financial grant for the beneficiaries – The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said that each beneficiary of this scheme will be entitled to receive Rs. 2500.
  6. Payment tenure – The beneficiary will get the grant on a monthly basis, till the training project continues.
  7. Payment mode – Grant payments will be done via Direct Benefit Transfer to eliminate mistakes.
  8. Training program – Special training camps will be organized after the implementation of this project. These coaching programs will boost the vocational skills for the beneficiaries.
  9. Ties with technical institutes – The state government will send the interested beneficiaries to the reputed technical educational institutes, for attaining the technical coaching.
  10. Tenure of the training – The Chief Minister said that the minimum tenure of the technical training will be six months. The maximum training tenure must not be more than twelve months.
  11. Central-state contribution ratio – The central government will also provide funds for the implementation of the internship scheme. Rs. 1500 will be contributed by the central government, while the state will pay the remaining Ra. 1000, for each beneficiary.

Eligibility for the applicants

  1. Must be a resident of UP – The Chief Minister pointed out that only legal and permanent inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh will be able to opt for this project.
  2. Must be a student – The scheme is open for school students, who are in 10th and 12th College students, who are pursuing graduation courses, will also be able to apply for these schemes.
  3. Must study in a registered school or college – The Chief Minister also highlighted that candidates, who are studying in registered schools and colleges will only be able to attain these perks.
  4. Must have a bank account – The grant, offered under this scheme, will be deposited in the bank account of the beneficiary.

Documents necessary for application

  1. Residential documents – Any eligible candidate that desires to opt for this scheme, must furnish official registration documents, issued by the government of Uttar Pradesh.
  2. ID proof – The candidate must attach a copy of the Aadhar card. It will be used for the verification process.
  3. Educational certificates – The students of 10th and 12th standard must attach the admission documents. The applicants, pursuing graduation must provide college admission documents for eligibility verification.
  4. Bank account details – It is necessary for the candidate to attach such documents, which will shed light on the bank account number, name of the bank and branch, address, IFSC code and branch code.
