Yashaswini Scheme for Women Entrepreneurship 2020 (Loan amount, Interest Free, Application Form, Eligibility, SHG)

The Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles has launched a scheme called Yashaswini Scheme. The scheme is solely for promoting entrepreneurship for the women. The scheme was launched in Goa at an event took place at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium. At the same event the Union Minister also launched project for eradicating the breast cancer. As per the Union Minister Smriti Irani, in order to develop the nation people need to take care of the women at the first hand. According to her, the base of a society is the women of the country; this is the reason government is launching the development scheme. The details of the scheme are given below.

Key features of the scheme

  • Objective of the scheme- The primary objective of the scheme is to empower the women of the state.
  • Monetary help-Under the rules of the scheme, the self-help group under the scheme will get financial assistance as the will be able to get loans. They can get maximum of 5 lakh rupees as a loan amount; and, the loans are interest free.
  • Number of self-help group– There are few self-help groups that are currently eligible to get loan. The groups are Salcere, Valopi-Sattari, Phoenix Womens Wing Self-Help group, etc.

Eligibility criteria for the scheme

  • Only for women- As the scheme is launched for benefitting the women of the country; so, only women are eligible for the scheme.
  • Members of self-help group- The women who are the members of self-help group only they are eligible to get loans from the bank.
  • Women all across the country- As the scheme is launched by the cabinet minister so it is applicable on women of all states.

Documents required

  • Identity proof- In order to become the beneficiary of the scheme you need to bring your identity proof as Aadhar and Voter card.
  • Membership card- In order to get the loan you need to have the membership card of the self-help group you belong to. And you need to show the card while applying for loan.
  • Bank account details- In order to get the loan you need to produce bank account details as the loan will be debited directly to the beneficiary’s account.

How to apply for the scheme?

As the scheme is launched few days back so the government has not released details about the scheme. Once the details are released you will be informed.

In conclusion, it can be said that the scheme is going to beneficial foe the women in Goa. They will get a ground to start something on their own. The scheme will make them self-dependent economically and also helps to earn an identity in the society. Also, they will be able to contribute to their family and this will give them a position of earning member of the family.
