Where can applicants get eligibility details?
The state government has made it easy for the interested candidates to attain scheme related details. For this, they need to log in on the official scheme portal. The link jaganannaammavodi.ap.gov.in will take them to this website.
Beneficiary card details
The registered beneficiaries of the YSR Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme will be given a beneficiary card. This card will contain the name of the student and his/her mother. The Aadhar and scheme registration codes will also be printed on the pass. Each beneficiary will attain this pass from the Andhra Pradesh government.
Eligibility criteria for the scheme
- For legal residents only – If the applicant and his/her parents are not legal and permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh, then he/she will not receive the financial benefit.
- For school students only – The school students, studying in classes 1 to 12 have been given the permission to apply for this educational welfare scheme.
- Attendance requirements – It has been highlighted in the scheme draft that every applicant must maintain 75% attendance at school to continue to receive the grant. However, this criterion will be applied from 2021.
- White ration card – If the applicant does not have a white ration card, then the state will cancel his/her enrollment.
- BPL and EWS candidates – The applicants must belong to either the BPL category or the EWS category.
- Not applicable for dropout candidates – The state government will immediately cancel the registration of a student who drops out of the standard academic structure.
- Parents cannot be government employees – The application of such school students will not be accepted if one or both parents work either for the central or the state government.
- Parents cannot be tax payers – Those students cannot receive the monetary assistance, offered by the state government, whose parents pay income tax to the government.

Online Registration process for the Amma Vodi Scheme
- Online scheme portal –
The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a portal from where, the applicants will be able to gather eligibility information and the reenrollment form. The candidate must click on the link Jagananna Amma Vodi Portal to get to the authorized website.
- Form download link –
On the site, applicants will get a link that will give them access to the registration form. The document is in a PDF format and can be downloaded easily.
- Attain a print out –
Once the registration form has been downloaded, the candidate needs to get a print out.
- Form fill-up process –
The applicant needs to fill in the form with the necessary details and attach a passport sized photograph.
- Attaching the documents –
After this, the candidate needs to attach the copies of the documents, which have been mentioned earlier.
- Submit the form –
The form, along with the documents must be submitted at the Block Development Office or the Municipal Office, as per the location of the applicant.
The scheme will lessen the financial burden from the shoulders of the parents, who lack financial resources. The financial assistance will help the mother to pay the school fee and tuition fee respectively. The funds can be utilized to meet the expenses during college admission.
