Key features of the scheme

  1. Development of women – The primary objective of the state government is the pave the path for the development of needy women, via the Self-Help Groups. It will boost the women to get involved in small scale industry, and acquire financial independence.
  2. Better financial status – As the beneficiary will no longer have to worry about the interest payments, she will be able to utilize the money for the betterment of her life.
  3. Growth of Self-Help Groups – The women, associated with the self-help groups need money to continue the activities. With the implementation of this scheme, the members of the SHGs will be encouraged to opt for more funds, and expand the operations.

Eligibility for the applicants

  1. Must be legal resident of the state – The scheme has been developed and implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government. Thus, every female applicant must be a legal and permanent inhabitant of this state.
  2. Must belong to BPL category – It has been highlighted that the applicant must fall under the BPL category to get the benefits, as promised under this scheme.
  3. Must be associated with SHG – Only those needy women will be permitted to apply for the scheme’s perk, which are associated with a registered Self-Help Group.
  4. Open for urban and rural women – To ensure that a high number of eligible applicants attain the benefit of this program; the state government will implement this scheme in both urban and rural regions simultaneously.
  5. Limitation of loan amount – The Chief Minister has highlighted that only those women will be able to register for the project if the outstanding credit amount does not cross the mark of Rs. 5 lakhs.
  6. Not for NPA loans – If the applicant has taken a loan that falls under the Non-Performing Asset of NPA, then she will not be allowed to attain the perks of this scheme.

Documents necessary for application

  1. Residential documents – If any eligible and interested female, desires to apply for this scheme, she needs to provide proper documents, which shed light on her claims that she is a permanent and legal resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. Identification documents – The applicant needs to provide a copy of her Aadhar Card. The document will be used for record keeping and background verification.
  3. Certificate of registered SHG – The applicant must offer a copy of the certificate that ensures that the candidate works with a registered Self-Help Group on a regular basis.
  4. BPL certificate – It is mandatory for the eligible and interested women to submit a copy of the BPL certificate.
  5. Bank loan documents – The applicant needs to offer the photo copies of the bank loan that she has taken, while working with the SHG.

How to get application form and register?

  1. Offline application – As the scheme targets needy women, many eligible applicants may not possess the skills to operate the computer. Thus, the state government has decided to opt for the offline application.
  2. PDF registration form – Though the enrollment process will be offline, the Andhra Pradesh government will soon come up with a separate online link. The PDF registration document will be available online. The interested applicants can take the help of ward volunteers to acquire the PDF application form.
  3. Implementation via Navasakam Scheme – The volunteers will be dispatched by the state officials in every ward. During the Navasakam Survey, these volunteers will collect the personal and occupational details of the women from each house.
  4. Preparation of applicant list – The collected data will help the government officials to prepare a list of the women, who can enroll and attain the benefits of this scheme.
  5. Assistance of ward volunteers – It will be the duty of the ward volunteers to reach out to every eligible candidate, and explain the scheme. They can also assist the eligible women to fill in the YSR Sunna Vaddi Scheme registration form.

Beneficiary list details

It is the responsibility of the state officials to scrutinize the application documents. Once the eligible applicants have been selected, the officials need to prepare the beneficiary list, and send it to the Gram Panchayat and Municipality offices. The details will be handed over the ward volunteers. They will inform the selected candidates accordingly.
